All that Black music on these Black shows and films that you thought was curated by Black folks? Guess again. If projects that center us as main characters and focus on our narratives don’t even have us in mind when it comes time to curate the soundtrack of the visual narrative, how can we see music supervision as a viable career path? I need answers.

NOTE: yes I took the time out of my busy Sunday to make this graphic just to visually make my point from yesterday. Because textual explanations are well and good. But I feel that once you actually SEE the lack of representation in our narratives, it hits different. #HireBlackMusicSupervisors
